Sky engineer times

I'm meant to have a sky and they're visiting me tomorrow to look at my faulty box. They are supposed to arrive between 8 AM and 5 PM however I was told on the phone I should receive notification the night before giving me a more detailed time. I haven't received anything yet, is it definitely normal practice to get a message providing a more concrete time or do I need to waste my whole day waiting around and wake up 8am?

When I've had visits from Sky installers (that's just for you Winston!) I've usually had a call or text the evening before to give a time slot. I've also had the odd occasion when I haven't heard anything on the day before, like you.
If that is the case I would think it's very unlikely that they will be knocking on your door at 0800. I would expect a call or text in the morning to say they're coming later in the day tomorrow (actually today now!)
