Of course it depends who is dancing, we rarely see fantastic latin dances by the celebs where as the ballroom tends to be passable. Ironically my all time favourites are Marks AT/Salsa and Aleshas Cha Cha- but they are rarely performed as well as that.
Much harder to do than I expected. In the end it comes down to which dances on the show thrill or disappoint me the most often!

I know! But for instance in my case I look forward to certain dances even though the standard in Stricly has been bellow par for me. Example in my mind is the Paso. Being Spanish I am always severely disappointed, here is hoping that one day I will see one that is truly what I like.
(Kara and Artems was a marvelous dance but it lack the Spanish flare, I loved it very much but not as what I think a Paso should be.)
By the way, Samba is still the lowest scored dance so far.

14 Foxtrot - the most elegant - always my favourite, no matter how the other dances vary in my rankings
13 Quickstep - love it (big adrenaline rush dancing it)
12 Rumba - beautiful but not the strictly version
11 Argentine Tango - find this difficult to compare with others
10 Waltz - can get a bit boring though
9 Tango - Prefer AT now I've started dancing it
8= Jive - love to watch, but don't like dancing
8 =Samba - love to dance - not so keen watching
6 Viennese Waltz - but only when done properly to grand viennese music. Then it is exciting and romantic. Otherwise dull
5 Cha Cha Cha - really like this when danced by pros but otherwise lukewarm
3 American Smooth - too much of a mish mash for me although love Astaire and Rogers
2 Salsa - not really a club dancer
1 Charleston - just don't get it
