Tab S lollipop

Hi

My Tab S 10.5" tablet is running just fine, but it wants be to install something called a lollipop operating system.
I'm a bit apprehensive for the for the following reasons:

1. I don't have much space left and it requires something like a gig of space.
2. It apparently requires 3 gig of space during installation, which is really pushing it.
3. The blurb suggests I might lose some apps.
4. Everything is fine so why bother risking issues?

So the way I see it, there is little reason for me to install this lollipop os, but how do I get rid of the software update without installing it?

Thanks

I honestly thought this lollipop thing was an issue for people, but perhaps not here on DS.
My friend bit the bullet and immediately regretted it. Now his Tab S has terrible battery drain and lag issues. So no way am I doing it now.

Would still like to know how to get rid of the stupid lollipop notification. Any techies willing to assist?

    Thanks
