I also remember as a young child having a kids version of an old style telephone, a red one with the numbers going around in a circle and you had to push the outer transparent wheel thing with your finger to dial the numbers (if that makes any sense?). Does that imply that those sorts of phones were still in use then too, since they had kids plastic record players for playing nursery rhymes, maybe it does. Hah I do sound a bit dumb asking but hey, don't ask, don't learn(!).
