Independant puppy?

My little boy is 10 months old, hes very loving etc but he seems to be very happy on his own, he will take himself off to bed or sit on his own, we have another dog and could he be feeling left out? or does he genuinely like time alone

I sound such a worry wart but hes my little prince and don't want him upset
