Does anyone in the UK know who Amy Sedaris is in the lenor unstoppables advert?

Do you think anyone in the UK knows who the actress Amy Sedaris is from the Lenor Unstoppables tv advert?

I did not know who she was and neither does anyone I have asked. It is baffling why Proctor and Gamble would use an American minor TV actress for an advert in the UK. Obviously they are too cheap to get somebody else.

It reminds me of the Alberto V05 advert many years ago which were shown in the US with Rula Lenska and she announced her name in the advert and nobody in the US knew who she was. A major comedian over in the states ridiculed the advert when it was shown. The publicity helped raise the profile of Alberto V05 and Rula Lenska though.

I wouldn't pay a £5 for the Lenor Unstoppables when soap powder does the same job.

I believe she is related to the humorist David Sedaris. No idea though why she would be pushing a fabric softener.

Companies don't always get it right.

I think they have got it wrong here. If she was more deranged kooky like Maria Bamford then it could have worked, if they were going for smelly niche.
