What a goal from Jelavic for Hull!

Perfectly struck bicycle kick into the net redoubles the pressure on Pardew and his side.

Chambers should have been off for arsenal.

As clear a 2nd yellow as you could possibly get, but the ref bottled it.

Another wonder strike - this time from Diame - puts Hull 2-0 up.

Cue the Newcastle fans to express their disenchantment once more.

For all the backing Mike Ashley has given Pardew this week, you wonder if it might be exhausted by a defeat like this.

Pardew's going to suffer in order to keep earning that salary - a war of attrition between him, the fans and Ashley. 0-2 now and atmosphere not good...

With Pardew it's getting a bit like Steve Kean at Blackburn where the results clearly dictate that the manager has to go and the fans are in uproar but you have owners who don't care what the fans think. The manager is left there hanging in the wind and bearing the brunt of fan anger.

    Newcastle level!

Two goals for the substitute Cisse!

Credit where credit's due, it was Pardew's call to bring him on and it's worked wonders.

Liverpool 2 goals down in less than 10 minutes.

    Unexpected to say the least.

Disagree, but I do I have concerns about his lack of discipline sometimes.

I'm not that surprised. Losing Suarez lost Liverpool about 50% of their quality - in terms of goals scored and assists.

Liverpool are looking a bit hit and miss so far, home defeat and far from convincing in Europe. I thought last seasons heroics might be a one-off-and its starting to look that way.

Lovren may have to come off here according to the new regulations on head injuries and concussions.

A very interesting test of the new rules regarding head injuries.

Lovren should absolutely be taken off.

There is no way he should continue. No way at all.

So the rules are now useless. Lovren didnt know what day it is, and now he is back on the field with a bandage.

    Its disgusting.

To be fair, he wasn't knocked unconscious and if the club and independent doctor have cleared him to play on, it's really fair enough.

Who was the guy in the blazer chatting with Rodgers while Lovren was down? I presumed it was Big Sam's assistant?

    Ahh, an edit.

You dont have to be knocked out to be concussed.

And from the pics that i was watching, the cameras quickly looked away when they saw how badly he was in trouble.

He was down and out of it for a long time, and when he was walking off the pitch he looked in a complete daze.

This is exactly what the new rules were trying to prevent - a team desperate to get their player back on.

If the independent dr cleared him to play on, then it raises serious questions as to either:

    1) his competency
    2) if he can be persuaded by a team (who have already subbed one defender)

He's being a baby when it comes to the tackles on Liverpool players, particularly Koutaye's one on Moreno in the box in the first half.

I was just going to post that Quinn must be one of the worst co-commentators that there is and I noticed the previous 2 posts

Sometimes think I am watching different incidents from him with his comments
