Calling all Dr Who fans

Can anyone remember and name an episode of Dr Who from the 60s?

It was a 4 or 6 part story. But the big thing was that the Doctor didn't appear in the first episode. Instead it was a group of monsters in space (I think). Does the episode still exist or was it wiped?

Could you be thinking of Mission to the Unknown? It doesn't directly tie to the story after it though and you'd probably have remembered Daleks?

Doubtful. I think it only went to Australia and even then was never broadcast.

Even if there's over 100 episodes recovered, there will always be one that will never be found. And that will be The Feast Of Steven. Never transmitted outside the UK, and correct me if I'm wrong, was never sold abroad either.
