RIP Storm Thorgerson

Renowned album cover designer Storm Thorgerson has passed away aged 69. Whilst he helped design many album covers. His work with Pink Floyd will be what he is best remembered for.

    Very sad news.

    I have a couple of his books, one of which is signed, and it is amazing how many albums I have where Storm, and Hipgnosis, were responsible for the artwork.

    He will be sadly missed. :cry:

    Sad news was he was a very influential artist. His album covers were works of genuis, RIP

    Most of my favourite album sleeves are his work. Those images will last forever.

    Yes I love artwork he did. I have a book which features some of his works (100 Best Album Covers).

    Sadly the vast majority of album covers are disappointing mugshots of the artist. Probably at the instance of unimaginative record companies. It really annoys me that artist are not being creative with their cover art when you can do amazing things like Storm did :(

    Didn't realise he did Biffy Clyro's covers (which look awesome). The guy is irreplaceable.
