Has there been a fully satisfactory remaster of this album yet?
For an album that keeps getting voted one of the best five of all time I'm constantly disappointed by the scruffy production. While half the tracks, such as Tomorrow Never Knows and And Your Bird Can Sing, sound great with a powerful stereo mix, the likes of Taxman remain half-cocked as if no one could really be bothered.
We are talking about one of the greatest albums of all time, here, but I find the Beach Boys' albums are consistently better produced/remixed, whatever their quality.
This is the greatest band of all time I'm talking about here, and one of their five best albums, yet every time there is a new release the stereo version stays poor.
