Well I found a 4G array putting out full power.
In Plymouth on the top of Stoke Damerel high school.
    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.379475,-4.169881,3a,75y,305.66h,96.16t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sTIsOnwN93iFBrTaIqFAT2Q!2e0!6m1!1e1

Most of the rural cells here will give you about -85dBm at this distance and go just out of sight and the signal plummets.
    This one was reporting -62dBm!!!!!
Even a block away out of sight behind a large building -82 and 4-5 bars.
I should note I got the cell ID to make sure it was the same one.

I was seeing a customer 3 blocks away in the main street and was quite deep indoors and still I got 1-2 bars (-108) on the desk. Antennas well out of sight here behind 3 buildings or rows of houses.

I guess the blanket 3G here means the power can be cranked up.

Excellent, hopefully they do that in more place, like you say where there is blanket 3G coverage

Congleton finally has EE 4G, or should I say about 2/3rd's of the Town has EE 4G, the other remaining 1/3 still having "ultra slow, barely useable 3G"

Sods law dictates that I work in the 1/3 which has the slow 3G!!. Interestingly this is also the area that Three admitted to me was wrongly marked as having DC-HSDPA on their coverage checker last year, so I guess the lack of 4G from the mast is due to an infrastructure issue, given Three don't offer DC-HSDPA from it either.

The weird thing is, its a Town Centre mast, not one stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

With all the talk of 4G power and CSFB to 3G recently, the updated EE map shows a newly enabled mast south of Scunthorpe that doesn't have a 3G signal coming from the mast. The strong 4G signal covers an area where there is patchy, and in some places non-existant, 3G.

My local mast did this for about a month, saw it in real life usage and also on the map, full 4G but 1 bar 3G. However EE said there was nothing wrong....

Eventually 3G came back strong on my phone and showed as excellent on the map

I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied with EE in this area (well covering 20 mile radius) masts seem to be down on a weekly basis, either no service or no 3G, for instance since the new year in Llangollen at least once a week there is no signal, in Wrexham again weekly 3G is down. Where we get 4G is outdoor only. The network seems to be going down hill fast here . Disappointed :( it's becoming so unreliable and I'm having to rely on my pay and go Vodafone phone lots more .

Anybody noticed a lack of HD Voice calls on EE lately? Three of us have iPhones, all on EE and on 3G but voice calls are definitely not HD. Facetime audio calls are HD over 3G. Thanks (all phones on iOS 8.3

Further testing, EE to EE gives HD Voice but T-Mobile to EE and EE to T-Mobile no HD voice anymore. It used to though :(

I must, since I went back to EE for data , 3G seems a little up and down. The other day I was sitting in the same place and went from 5 bars and full speed to barely a signal and back again. I gather that 3G does this if capacity is used up so maybe it's a temporary lack of capacity at the mast or something. Or sudden increase in users / tethering. Probably Devonbloke doing a speed test.:D

Yeah it was me. I love speed tests.
Either that or I was watching BBC news live.

I had about 6 months of that but it's quietened down now.
Turns out they have been doing a lot of stuff at my mast and also I think work on surrounding ones has caused problems as well.
3G is generally stronger now all over and I think this is result of antenna upgrades.
The new Huawei dual band antennas of course boost 3G as well as 2G/4G.
They have certainly put the new full range ones on this mast. They are tiny compared to the old ones but perform way better.
Hoping to see 800 from this mast sometime in the near future.
1800 would be good to start with though! :)

I think you just have to ride it out. If they do what they say they are going to do (and BT don't throw a spanner in the works) it is going to be one awesome network a few years from now.
90% geographic will be very impressive since it's about 80% now I think. Someone will confirm this I'm sure.

No problem here tonight, two iPhone 6 handsets, about 8 miles apart, both bought from Apple and with EE 4G SIM cards - one on WiFi calling , and one on 3G. HD voice no problem.

Got HD Voice from my iPhone 6 Plus to my Sony Z1 Compact both with EE 4G Sims. Standard voice quality though to two numbers on T Mobile accounts (both iPhone 5s) from my EE 4G iPhone 6 plus. 3G signal on all phones on the same mast. Have they killed off HD Voice on T Mobile accounts? It used to work.

Guess its possible, but would be unlikely. Worth asking Cust Services?

When I've spoken to tech support over the last 5 months I've been told the issue in Llangollen is power supply to the mast. It's an MBNL mast as 3 is down at the same time. But why would there be a power cut just to the mast 1 -2 days every week but fine the other 5 days, thinking back I had the same excuse from them last summer too! And in Wrexham they been trying to fix the 3G mast for nearly 18 months, as of Wednesday this week EE have told me there are 2 masts with faults on in Wrexham town centre AGAIN hence why there is no 2G and 3G is unusable.

I wouldn't think so. Why would they? To shift people over to EE faster?

Its not quite the same thing, but I've recently (during the past month) been calling a friend whos on Virgin Mobile from my EE phone and the calls have all been HD voice.

The MBNL mast in my town here in Northern Ireland, has 3 3G, and EE 2/3/4G .

Today it went down for a good 5 hours (no masts anywhere near, so no service all day) and now that it's back, EEs 4G is gone :(

Fair few hours later it's still gone.

I went up to the mast during its outage , there was a white van at it, with some men having coffee in it.. Obviously in a hurry to get the work done ! I took a photo of the mast too. It was quite odd to have no service standing right under it !

I've noticed EE to Orange calls are HD voice, but Orange to EE calls aren't. Strange

I was out for a walk and went past the local mast so I got some photos and a video, which was 1080p60 on my phone but I don't think Dropbox will do it as that. Can anyone tell me what antennas belong to which operator?

    I'd say going down
    Orange at the top x6
Vodafone x3 (curved top and bottom)
    Gap
Bottom array is a mix. I think O2 2G is the 'D' shaped cross-sectional one - ie. the one on the right of the 3 facing forwards in the picture. Not sure about the others at the bottom - one set will be MBNL and one set O2 3G.
