  Thanks for the reply, sorry for taking so long to reply as I'm doing this for my sister and she's not quick on the uptake.
  
  Its a Vivanco 2 in 1 TV DVB, I think she got it from Currys.

  Just a minor correction.
  The OP didn't say he had a Sanyo DVB Tv, but the Vivanco universal remote he bought is suitable for Tv and DVB receivers...in case this makes a difference to the codes you quoted him.

  Thanks for input guys, but I visited her yesterday and found her scart connection to the tv loose, just wiggled it around and the Vivanco remote has a scan facility and that did the trick.
