Yes, they have, we had people essentially saying, 'Oh look, he did this Thursday, that Friday and now this Saturday - you gullible tabloid reading fools'.

They were sneering at anyone who believed Venables had done anything wrong.

I thought at the time they'd look spectacularly stupid if they were wrong.

But we still don't actually know what he's done.

Nobody was sneering at the fact he had done something, just at the amount of ridiculous claims by people who claimed to know.

I agree with part of this.

What is getting me though is that they said Jon had PTSD at 10 years old! now if he has such a history of mental health problems then he should have been in constant contact with his helpers throughout his time on the outside. Something has gone tits up if none of them noticed what he was becoming.

I don't know what to believe anymore. But I think those around Jon are just as much to blame this time as they should have noticed his behaviour.

Exactly this. Alot of anger is being directed at Jon but if he has committed a serious offence then it is the responsiblity of the team who were supposed to be monitoring him. Especially if we are led to believe he has been struggling to cope and been telling people who he really was.

Even though virtually every newspaper report is now specifically saying he's done everything he's been accused of.

But, you're right, nobody knows yet, for sure.

I genuinely hope he's done nothing wrong, but I fear that's not the case.

sunday mirror are saying he's been recalled on child pornography charges and that they know what prison he's in but aren't allowed to say.

it'll be interesting to see if anyone who knows him speaks to the press as it will give us a better idea of what he is like.

So far Venebles has been involved in a work place fight, failed to refer himself to his parole officer, commited a sex crime and now it's the old favourite, child pornography. That one seems to crop up regularly when folks have a brush with police and it's proven wrong.

The fact is nobody knows for sure what this guy has done and that is as it should be to allow the justice process to take it's course properly.

It is absolutely none of Denese Fergus's business what either of these guys has done since serving their sentances for the horrific murder they commited as children. If either or both of them went on to donate their lives to caring for others (which is out of the question due to disclosure laws), Fergus would still be on the witch hunt, nothing will ever change that.

when a cabinet minister says he has allegedly done something exceptionally serious...that is a good starting point for me to get the hangmans rope ready and fire up the calculator for drop height.....

if it turns out that he is innocent then thats Ok, but ateleast we would not be caught naping and give that man one extra breath on this planet...
