It's only change - you'll get used to it in three days. Only complaint I really have is I couldn't jump to the last unread post from my subscribed threads.
Back to ratings and did we get any BBC/Sky News ratings for 11pm onwards on Friday?
It's billed as a repeat. Would be nice if that was surprise last minute addition to the Christmas Day schedule as it sure needs more comedy. Actually think Outnumbered might be the best thing to put up against the first half hour of Downton - I think it could be more of a pull than EastEnders. I'd then air EE at 9pm and Mrs Brown at 10pm.
Really odd because I'm getting the bottom one in this thread and the top one down thread.
I'd be very happy if the bottom one turned out to be 'the one'.
I was getting the top one.
Now it's fully rolled out to the bottom design it's not quite as ghastly, but I still hate all the grey everywhere.
Oh well. I guess they think this awfully bland corporate design is the way forward. Maybe if this was the Guardian forums I'd agree, but for me it doesn't fit this particular site.

It's all really small though. Squished into a small column.
Edit-Things changing all the time, symbols have just come through.
They did show a clip from one of the Thames shows, produced by Johnny Ammonds so it must have been one of the later shows because he didn't move from the BBC when they did and it took Thames quite some time to attract him.In part 1 last week they showed plenty of clips from the ATV shows (and indeed last night when they showed the ''original'' Andre Preview sketch from the ATV series).
Firstly I find the new layout for DS too harsh and the white background is overpowering.
Secondly I think the end of the MW special was a bit rushed. Obviously their BBC shows were better and people remember the sketches more than the ones on Thames, but they still managed to attract 20 million for their first two shows and their 1980 series was a return to form after a shaky start in 1978-79. Maybe a bit more on the Thames years would have been better to remind people they still could be good with the right material.
I dont know if its just me but I have just been reading through the last few pages and I am getting a headache. Its far too bright and harsh this new layout.

Looking at the Christmas Day schedules ITV learnt from last year. No evening news bulletin. And they moved Downton to 8.30pm and basically saying to "we're not judging so deal with it." It has created more of a problem for BBC1 as they shuffle things ITV aren't moving. Will it all change tomorrow?
I dont know if its just me but I have just been reading through the last few pages and I am getting a headache. Its far too bright and harsh this new layout.
Yes It's nasty isn't it. I don't usually do this but I have put my glasses on and it looks even worse. I tuned my screen brightness down and it looks no better.
I'm going to stop now because I agree it's not easy on the eyes. But the quircky little website that was Digital Spy is not a total Cooperate looking monster. Bland, boring, Not impressed at all.

If the thread goes unusually quite later it's because we were all in need of a lie down after some time on here.
A mere forum member not getting paid to design these things came up with a much nicer alternative that puts the actual version to shame:
Digiguide seems to have updated but there aren't many changes. Boxing Day has been tweaked slightly with EastEnders now at 8pm leading into Open All Hours, with Gnomeo and Juliet moving 30 minutes later to 6.40pm. Len Goodman now finds himself on Sunday 22nd at 7.30pm.
ITV's Boxing Day is now Gary Barlow at 6pm, Emmerdale at 7pm, YBF at 7.30pm and Midsomer at 8pm. They really should dump YBF and run Barlow and Emmerdale 30 mins later.
No other changes really. Let's see what tomorrow brings but I suspect this might be near enough final!
And the addition of something hideous called 'The Britney Effect' on ITV at 9pm on Friday 27th Dec.
I'm gonna go against the grain here and I don't mind the new designs themselves, just wish the whole page would fit on my I pad mini.Missing the right hand side of the pages

Just tried. It says they poll is closed.
Everything I love about DS has gone. What a huge mistake. It was fine as it was...
Back to ratings and did we get any BBC/Sky News ratings for 11pm onwards on Friday?
First Essex have taken over!
Is their a way I can make the Forums go Wide screen? Dear Me this is very bad news.
Ken
The bottom one is the correct one I think. I like it much better than the other.
You're welcome :D
1.3m in first 24 hours, 2.9m over the week.
Now it's fully rolled out to the bottom design it's not quite as ghastly, but I still hate all the grey everywhere.

He deserves lots of credit for just whipping that up.
I'm actually stunned.Terrible decision. And I'm getting a very basic font when typing as well.Is this the same for you?

That is perfect!
Hideous and yet somehow still miles more appealing than all bar two hours of their entire Christmas Day 'effort'.
Well that's surely the end of that then. What a farce.
Could I suggest that Panorama will get a pasting in the 7.30 slot.
