I don't see the problem with the 2nd story. Boy has job in abattoir. Commits minor crime. Judge lets him off custodial sentence so he can keep his employment and not need to turn to crime for further funds.
2nd one is pretty sick though, but this sort of this has been going on for years and is just wheeled out every now and then for some tabloid "fury". Plus if you read the story you find that hunting actually increases the number of animals in an area.
TBH, I can understand hunting deer (for example). You have to plan the hunt, be deceptive, learn some skills... then the deer is used as food afterwards.
But there's nothing predator about it, we aren't killing them for a reason.
Is today "state the obvious day"?
Course, it's worth pointing out that several animals kill other animals for the yucks.
It's just that our big brains and pesky opposable thumbs mean that we can make ourselves some cool toys to do it with.

But the animal doesn't understand other animals can become extinct, we do.

Chris Martin taped it.

And what about the giraffe?
Oh, I didn't realise that it would be legal to do that.
Just because it's legal to kill the giraffes for family fun, does not make it right at all.
They may even control the number of young males as well, if there are too many.
As they are animals there is no need to allow the population level get out of control.
Funny

This baffles me.
I didn't say it was right, but suggesting that we murder people for their wrongness is hardly a victory for morals.
If you are going to kill something at least eat it.
Aberdeen Angus hunting anyone?
Well, duh.
We didn't get to become the apex-predator of the planet by virtue of our good looks.
I'm with you there, l just noticed your nickname, are you going to see them when they come to the UK.
Second one - find it very hard to believe this goes on in numbers significant enough to cause any kind of genuine outrage.
Plus both are from the tabloids and therefore will only have a the slightest grain of truth to them.

Great questions; I too would be interested to know the appeal?
Your not an apex predator.
Sure am my friend - off to Nottingham You?
I am more concerned about the Giraffes to be honest.
