What with MT's demise, it's been completely overlooked that today was the 60th anniversary of the Stratford Tube crash.

It was entirely the driver's fault apparently, but nonetheless, they deserve to be remembered.

    I agree, it must have been a sad day indeed, though even I was too young then to remember it. It's a pity that the BBC website didn't find room for it... somewhere.

    Didn't they have an "On This Day" summary at one time? That would have been somewhere to mention it.

    Even though it was some time ago and an incident I did not know about, I would like offer my condolences to any family and friends that were affected. May they rest in peace.
