I was at work but heard it on KMFM on the way home. Glad that she's taking part though it seems like a rushed decision seeing as her most recent album bombed.
I think this is the first year we've had two singers age under 30 and of the same sex as contestants.
Jesus, I know I'm getting old but so are many of SCD's viewers. I know Judy Murray, Alison Hammond (vaguely) and Pixie Lott. That's it. Can't they get any real names?

It's not really a matter of age - if you don't watch casualty you don't watch Casualty. If you don't watch sport, you don't watch sport.
Personally I've known everyone so far, and I'm.im the same boat as many others

Yes, it had that feel about it.. Young artistes nowadays just don't have the resilience of stars like Kylie. She suffered a much longer downturn in her career than Pixie, yet bounced back even higher without having to sign up as a contestant in a show like SCD.
I know of all the list. Can't say its thrilling me, but as yet nobody obnoxious.
How many more, 3 ? They may upset me.
If i'm liberal about how little 'know' can actually mean, I know five on the list. That's about normal for me at the start of a series. Two of them I positively like. No one to dislike yet.

I think that's why I was so excited about the Scott Mills signing - he's the second contestant I've actually heard of! I don't give a monkeys (oops, no offence meant) if I've never heard of the contestants - I blame my ignorance rather than their lack of fame. Is it okay to admit I've never heard of the Saturdays, let alone the names of the band members?
Bah, I really should watch more TV or pay attention to the sports pages and/or the gossip columns. Not that it matters one jot or iota - my favourites over the years have been people I came to like over the course of the series rather than those I supported from the get go.

Steve Backshall is a very real name, but if you have no interest in watching wildlife programmes on TV then you won't know who he is. I do, and am pleased to see him listed, as so far it's the only name I'm excited about.
So much for the Year of The Man. It's gearing up to be another All Female Final.

Nah, too many stage school babes (Pixie, Frankie and Caroline).
I can see a fit, young male strolling off with the glitterball amidst the Ringer Wars (just like Louis Smith did).
I would say for alot of the SCD audience, she's more known for This Morning. Certainly that's where I know her from, doing Showbiz/Film/Travel segments on TM.

2 male and 2 female celebs left. I'm expecting Caroline Flack to be announced tomorrow when she appears on Scott Mills' radio show.

The new series can't start soon enough for me.

What do you mean? There are 3 celebs left and they're being revealed on the One Show tomorrow at 7.30pm.
We usually get plenty of actors/actresses yet only two so far...
Had to laugh at Judy's claim to fame

Thom is my pick for the winner at the moment, but those three girls all stand a good chance in my opinion.
Good point. I forgot about the Voting Viewer Backlash for the likes of Emma Bunton in past series.
If it is the Year of The Man, I hope that man is the snake handler himself!
(As long as he doesn't get paired with Janette Manrara, as he's a shortie.)
