Carry On Doctor is my favourite ever film, love everything about it. Frankie Howerd's spot on performance, Jim Dale on the roof, quick guest spot from Dandy Nichols, the women patients giving Matron a blanket bath, the Invisible Man popping up. Excellent film
It was a wise decision inviting Frankie to be part of the cast.

For some years Carry On Henry and Carry On Don't Lose Your Head were not shown on UK terrestrial television at all. It is good that they are now being broadcast more regularly. Well done ITV 3 for showing them more often.

I would like to see Carry On At Your Convenience on again. It has been shown on BBC 2 several times in recent years - usually early on Saturday evenings during May - and I am hoping that it will be brodacast soon.

Completely randomly, I happened to catch 'Spying' on UK Gold last weekend.
It's definitely one of the best Carry Ons - great characters and locations, Babs in her first role (playing a slightly more innocent character than she usually did), and all the regulars on top form. It probably satirises that particular genre of films better than any other (well, OK, apart from 'Screaming') - although it's more Third Man than James Bond up until the end.
I always thought 'Regardless' was my favourite B&W Carry On, but I am not so sure now.

I agree, Birdsworth, Carry On Spying is a brilliant film. I think it is one of the best Carry On films. As you say, it has all the regulars on top form. Of all the black and white Carry On films, I believe that Carry On Spying and Carry On Cabby are the best.

It is a pity Elke Sommer was only in one Carry On film.
