Championship, League1, League2 some games are better than the lunchtime prem game on BT

You are right, out of tbe all the games I watched last season, Bradford v Covenry and Coventry v Sheff U,out performed any Prem games in my eyes

Given the premier league broadcast fixture announcements I wonder how long it will be before the remaining FL fixtures upto December are published?

It'll be the same as it is every season, we don't get a batch of say 25 games until November/December in 1 go, we get drip fed the games every so often.

I think County's game at Doncaster on 11th October could potentially get picked

Although it's said on here again and again that the 12.15 slot for Football League games is to get one jump ahead of the Premier League games on BT, I will point out that when they started showing Football League matches against Setanta's Premier League games in 2007, the Premier League games kicked off at 5.15 and the Football League at 5.20.

I was originally thinking it was picked as Cambridge got promoted last year but you're right, they'll be playing the boat race (and uni) card strongly when promoting it I'd imagine.

    Blackpool v Cardiff, Friday Oct 3rd, 7.45pm

Not sure how many Championship games have been picked so far, but how many teams have had a home game picked so far?

Wolves and Cardiff have certainly been picked quite often already for league and cup games.

Sat 25th Oct Millwall v Cardiff City 12.15pm

Hopefully this flurry of selections will be an indication that the games are being selected in bulk like the Premier League rather than sometimes at short notice.

We've now got 22 games selected up until mid November.

    2 League Cup
    15 Championship
    1 League One
    4 League Two

Unless you're talking about quality of football of course.

My local 5 a side league has a different winner every season, doesn't mean I want to watch them ;-)

You mean the often slow paced dull games? Yes they're real quality games...

The Premier League panders to the TV audience. The soul of English football, is in the Football Leagues with the supporters who go to games week in week out.

Although the Premier League is inferior to other leagues in terms of technical ability, it's easily the league with the highest tempo.

Of course there are more football tourists, hospitality users and casual fans going to Premier League matches, but there are plenty of dedicated fans of Premier League clubs.

There will be good and bad games at all levels.

The average Championship game holds a much higher tempo than the Premier League, this was evident by the reaction some of the World Cup matches received from the pundits.

Those high paced games were similar to Championship games and the pundits who concentrate on the Premier League had seen nothing like it.

The Premier League is quicker to other top flight leagues in Europe, but no chance is it "easily" the league with the highest tempo.
