Just thought this was a cool idea for a thread. Are there any songs you can listen to on repeat without getting bored with them?

I'll start off...

Up - The Saturdays
The Way I Are - Timbaland ft Keri Hilson
Remedy - Little Boots
You Know Me Better - Roisin Murphy
Starstruck - Lady Gaga

I think that repeat listening is a way of destroying your relationship to any song, so I avoid.

I agree. I'd repeat something a few times after the first time I have heard it just to "test the water" but after that it'll get the same treatment as other songs.

listening to a song over & over again completely ruins a song for me, i can't listen to it again for ages,

but for some strange reason i can have You Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive on repeat for absolute hours lol :o

Does anyone else find that when they download a song or buy a CD album/single they play just that song/album for the first few hours? I often do it.

Great idea for a thread OP!

    Mine would be:
The Eternal Vow - Yo Yo Ma and Tan Dun.
Canto Della Terra - Andrea Bocelli.
Take it on the Run - REO Speedwagon.
Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits.
Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen.
    Tainted Love - Soft Cell.
Anything by Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins.
    Legs - ZZ Top.

Totally agree with cnbcwatcher - if I buy an album, it stays in the stero for hours! :)

I can listen to an album on repeat, that's not a problem for the most, but I can't listen to the same song over and over and over again.

Good choice, I found myself listening to that a lot in the summer when it came out.

I'm exactly the same! Well 99% of the time, but there have been a few songs that I have had on repeat or have heard a lot of times and am not sick of (yet).

I agree with you on You Spin Me Around, I can listen to that for ages on repeat. If you can, you should listen to the version by Joanna Wang, it's amazing! (It's on Spotify)

I still listen to 1000 Miles by Vanessa Carlton on repeat for a few hours and Dr Jones by Aqua and Dreagostina Din Tei by Ozone. :o:o

Also, I don't know if this counts but I'll type in a song on Spotify and listen to all the covers of that song continuously. I did that for Save Tonight by Eagle Eyed Cherry and The Passenger; there were a surprising amount of covers!

I can but not 'forever'; songs tend become my favourite 'of the moment' for a period of time during which they won't get out of my head - this can be days or even weeks. At present Donna Summer's I Feel Love is stuck in there in incessant refrain.

    I wholly agree.

Though, I admit, I could never get tired of any Oasis song :)

    Britney Spears - Toxic
    Sugababes - Wear My Kiss
    P!nk - U + Ur Hand
    Girls Aloud - The Promise

There have been other songs that have almost been killed because I've listened to them too much, but these in particular spring to mind I never stop listening!

I've had that a few times, usually happens when I associate a song with someone.
