Orphanage in Day Of The Moon

Did anyone else feel really sorry for the janitor who lived there? His mind had been reduced to mush caused by the repeated memory wipes.

All the "Leave now" and "Get out" warnings scribbled on the walls were disturbing. He obviously writes them to warn himself and then forgets and assumes it's graffiti.

It's a shame The Doctor didn't rescue him. Or did he?

Janitor? He was called Dr. Renfrew, I think he was a qualified child psychologist or something.

I did feel a bit sorry for him though.

Are you sure it wasn't Renfield (like the Dracula character)?

It appears to have been Renfrew, but I don't think the similarity is accidental.

Great performance by the actor, incidentally. I thought he did a great job of portraying a sad, confused, mentally broken man who was essentially living at the mercy of some aliens he could only intermittently remember.

But no, I'm pretty sure the Doctor didn't rescue him. What with everything else that was happening, he was probably quite easy to overlook. :(
