PM me your gmail address and i'll send you an invite
thanks Jason but I got an invitation from a friend after I'd logged out of here.
I like what I see of Google Plus, though it's quiet at the moment. To control who sees what, is the particular good point. Yes I know you can use lists on Facebook, but people could take offense if you suddenly put them in a list when you never have before - and so on - having circles from the start is a good idea I think.
Neg stuff: You can't appear to pm individual people.
You certainly can....just share it with only one person.
I'm a big fan, as the others on the other threads will testify... feel free to add me (let me know you're DS as I'm getting lots of random follows right now).
Also I've found a Chrome extension that allows you to share your posts with Facebook and Twitter, as well as see your friends updates from F & T, all in the G+ interface (yes, I already call it that).
Makes the (inevitable!) switch over that bit easier.
realistically I think the url forwarding is no more likely to be malicious than the various Chrome extensions; but I think they're worth the risk and a snappy url isn't.
Find me on Google+ - you just need to know my name, not a URL.

Mind you, then no-one would have been able to find it....
http://gplus.to
.. to get a nice short URL for your G+ page ..
rather than the honking great URL google gives you ..
yeah but people have questioned who's behind gplus.to. Not sure it's worth it at the moment.
They have ?
Wasn't aware ..
from a google employee:

Although i've noticed some of the people i've invited have already got 20-30 odd people in their circles !
that is because the majority are males,
also more engineers and that sort of people on it
