In hindsight, is Sallie's departure a good thing?

Forget about the fact that she was up against Gina and Dexter. Just consider her absence as a whole.

It was a good thing in sight, let alone hindsight.

Yes, i wouldn't have voted her out if i thought it would ruin the series.

Only in the fact that it would've been the sally and Gina show. Thats not necessarily a negative thing its just that there's too many bland characters in there who would shrink in the presence of those two.

Nope - thought she was a great housemate and it would have been interesting to see how she did after the Michael stuff

Her going and Gina staying literally saved the show this year

Yes haha off topic but seems she's taking a dislike to Hazel's behaviour according to her twitter.

Nobody will ever convince me that losing such a big character so early was a good thing.

Yes, it was a good thing. Sallie was nasty and despite what some of the people on BOTS try and make out, that does not automatically make a good housemate.

No. Her exit meant that sooner than in any other series I've run out of HMs I look forward at all to watching.

Absolutely. It seems people on her take housemate way too seriously..

It was really bad and a very stupid twist with in effect 2 votes to evict instead of having HM nominations. It's a weak cast in general so getting rid of one of the biggest characters isn't clever. And it isn't about who is 'nice' (however you even define that), as Gina for example doesn't come across as great. In fact I'm sure this forum could hate on every HM in there if they wanted.

    How can anyone know?

Anyone who said that other characters would emerge was wrong, as its still all been Dan, Wolfy, Dexter and Gina so far, with cameos from Hazel and the Travers'. Sallie at least deserved to have a week without that little shite Michael around; she would have probably mellowed and not been as intense.
