That's not the point. At all. These are private and personal pictures that were stolen from these women and posted against their wishes. Put yourself in their position and imagine how violated you would feel and then maybe have a little compassion and realise that these women would not want the masses fapping to their photos.
It's a matter of respect.

This'll all blow over in a week or so anyway. The world moves fast and within a few days everyone will be focusing on the next big celebrity scoop/scandal/death. Tomorrow Hollywood will come out to defend these celebrities and condemn the hackers.

I doubt they're even aware of the risks. Mary Elizabeth Winstead's photos that were leaked were, according to her statement, deleted ages ago. So we don't even know if any of these women wanted to keep them and the creepy **** took them anyway.

They weren't taken directly from anyone's phones, far creepier, it seems a feature on iPhones meant unless they turned the feature off the pics of anyone with one had theirs automaticaly synced to iCloud without their knowledge. So Apple seem to have/had most their users nude pics on their servers.

it would surprise me to see some kind of class action legal action against apple over this if it's just iCloud that's been hacked. it could be very costly for them.

i suppose there's some stuff that has been obtained that the hacker is holding out for money for. problem is, the longer they wait, the more chance there is of them being tracked down and arrested.
Mobile devices with content shared and stored "in The Cloud" are easily hacked, always have been, always will be. If you can hack and get their email PW reset, then you can hack any other accounts. Simple answer to this is keep your private moments private, not accessible via social networking accounts.
