    There is a dress code
Dress code- Elegant smart casual; no shorts, vests, sportswear, flip flops, ripped jeans or baseball caps.

I know friends who have done it for a birthday treat and they said it was fantastic.

Alternatively, you could go for breakfast. £32 for a fry up including tea or coffee.

I'm a fresh fruit & Earl Grey tea for breakfast kinda gal, so those posh Claridge's breakfasts wouldn't thrill me, but every so often I go to our local Garden Centre for a 'buy one get one free' fry up (£7.50 for the two) with a friend. Not a sausage eater, but these taste good, along with freshly cooked tasty bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, baked beans, fried bread, hash brown and toast & butter. The coffee is very good too (and I am a very fussy coffee drinker)
But would give their afternoon teas a go. ;)

The manager seems a character and looks as though he is very hands on.

I found the comment about Gordon Ramsey interesting as they stated it was a disaster while he was there so he must have learned a lot since then.

I guess the tailored service is the one of the reasons it's costs £5k+ a night.

I wonder what their profit margin is there.

    Well, judging from this example...
Two Burford brown eggs; fried, boiled, poached or scrambled
    £10.00

    I'd say "a lot".

Why does the "Telecoms Manager" answer the phone himself. Either he should surely have staff to do that, or he's got a weird title for someone that is really some sort of customer relations manager.

I like the Empress' outfit, it looks like she has entirely greyed herself out, next to her hubby.
