The beta for this lands today. It will be available to all Vita users, and PS3 users with PS+ (all other PS3 owners can get their hands on it next week.
I had a go on this at Eurogamer, using Vita : PS3 cross-play and was pleasantly surprised. I had dismissed this as something I wasn't interested in, but it was a lot better than I expected.
I'll be giving it another go when it hits the store.

Just click on "latest" it's the second item.
(It's has a PS+ symbol next to it though, it was announced before that you didn't need to be a member for the Vita beta)
Bastard thing says "this content is not available to use with your account"
They having a laugh grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Gits  Thanks for your help though
Try and download it though, you can't. There is a post on the playstation forums about it now as well.
Didn't enjoy it at all.
Don't look at your character, look at the colours of Player 1, Player 2 ect. Much easier.
I was just about to post the same thing. I found it really confusing and just mashed buttons and moved about a lot until I could tell which one was me again.
They need to do a close zoom on your character to start with so you can tell which one is you and then zoom out just before the action starts. There also needs to be something much more apparent on screen than colours to immediately indentify your character at all times.
I didn't enjoy this beta one bit and haven't played it since I first downloaded it a month ago.
Yep same problem, far too much going on and it all seems to be a matter of luck and button mashing.
I'm sure there are loads of people out there who will excel in this; I'll leave them to it.
I'm out.
So that while he plays the PS3 version i'll join him online while playing the Vita version
Which is just another reason why cross-buy is so great, if we both wanted to play blacks ops 2 together (while in separate places) we'd need to lay down another £40
Still its incredibly fun to play and i doubt my friends who own playstation will get it so if anyone wants to play add me thomas2400
I'll mostly be focusing on the goals on the Vita version, but it's cross play so we'll be able to play even if you have it on PS3
The game title and the game looks so cheesy, but looks fun so I guess it'll be ok.
I've only had a little fiddle on single-player so far but that was lots of fun on both PS3 and Vita, the multiplayer should be a blast, both versions are equally smooth and look great, though can be a bit hectic when all-four fighters are in the same area of the screen, especially when you're on Vita.
I got the PS3 disc version, once you get your online pass you can then access a free downloadable version for the Vita, it's very simple and painless, I suspect even more so if you DL the PS3 version from the store.
Just make sure you don't buy the Vita version first by mistake!
I enjoy it - especially in local multiplayer. The fighting mechanic is good fun.
It will never be more than a bit of fun, but it does that well.
Is it my end, or many have this problem ??
