A new Vegas show based on the tv show is due to open in April

The Tropicana Theater will transform into the Dancing with the Stars ballroom, showcasing fan-favorite dances from past seasons along with new and thrilling routines. Some of the Dancing with the Stars alums will be featured in the opening run, including Carson Kressley, Joey Fatone, Kyle Massey, Sabrina Bryan, Tia Carrere, Dmitry Chaplin and Lacey Schwimmer. Attendees will also be introduced to the one-and-only “Las Vegas Troupe.”

    It's official that they're extending the run of the DWTS stage show in Las Vegas to around the 4th of August, and they're probably bringing it back in the Autumn with a new cast of pros and celebs. When it started, both Pasha Kovalev and Artem Chigvintsev were in it - but they're gone now, but Anya Garnis (Pasha's old pro partner?) is still in the show, along with Tristan MacManus, Dmitry Chaplin, Lacey Schwimmer, Carson Kressley, Joey Fatone, Sabrina Bryan, Tia Carrera, the British girl from our tv show troupe, Emma Slater, and some others I'm not familiar with. A reviewer said that, among other dances, Tristan does a Paso Doble with Sabrina, who was paired with Mark Ballas in Season 5.

    Robin Leach in his column in the Las Vegas Sun on May 29:
    Audiences are growing and loving “Dancing With the Stars: Live in Las Vegas” at the Tropicana so much that hotel executives and BBC officials have agreed to extend its run for 30 days -- into August -- and negotiations are proceeding for a new run with a new celebrity and pro dancers cast this fall to coincide with the all-star Season 15 of the ABC juggernaut.

    Tropicana owner Alex Yemenidjian confirmed the news exclusively to me at the first-anniversary party for chef Carla Pellegrino’s Bacio at the resort property. He teased me with: “There’s still more surprises coming this summer, so we’re doing well with all the new plans falling into place."
