well first of all, un-install limewire and erase the memory of ever having used it from your brain because it's horrible.

second of all, i would imagine you would simply choose the "add to library" option in itunes and point it to the folder where your .. limewire .. *cough* .. stuff is stored.

so are you saying that itunes isn't syncing your ipod ?

and it's actually got nothing to do with .. limewire .. ?

First of all you don't need to have your iPod linked in when adding folders/files. So leave the iPod unplugged for starters.
Just do add folder or import.

IF it's not syncing, and a little more information would be useful so we can point you in the right direction.

Have you tried a different USB port? If you're using a front one try a back one they tend to be more powerful. I know one of the ports on the front of my PC my iPod doesn't like.

Are the limewire files iTunes compatible? If they're XviD video or something they won't import - unless you convert them or make them .mov (although they won't play on an iPod).

i download "stuff" and no problem putting music on my ipod classic 80GB

Most importantly --- GET RID OF LIMEWIRE!!!!!

if you have to go down the dreaded p2p route, try ARES (only get it from sourceforge!! google for more info)

Like I said have you tried a different USB port? The back ones are normally far better.

    click "start" then "search"

and enter "*.mp3" in the search box and click "search"

that will find all the mp3's on your machine - just look at what it returns and you'll easily be able to see where they are
