Can you get national DAB from Jersey?

Yes, good stable signal in my part of the Guernsey (west coast). Signal strength varies from 35-50% but signal Quality is strong at 85-95%. Pretty stable on my litte Roberts "Robi" iPod attachment too, which I link up for DAB on car radio.

Nice to have 5Live in decent quality and 6Music available properly for the first time! I know it's all on $ky and on our crappy Freeview Light service, but they aren't much use in the car or garden.

Looking at getting a Pure Highway now :)

One off topic question though...Are 4Extra and Asian Network in stereo on UK DAB, (as they are on $ky/Internet)? They are only Mono on DAB from Jersey...especially annoying on 4Extra.

No, they are mono in the UK too.

Actually I think the Jersey DAB is an extension of the UK multiplex, rather than a separate one, so everything should be exactly the same.

Presumably they will extend to Guernsey too in time.......

I can get (not including DAB stuff): BBC Oxford, WM, Leics, 3CR, C&W all within my local area. BBC Leics is the one that gets me though considering I am in Oxfordshire!

Here in Leicester I can get the following in normal conditions with the aerial extended on my Eton E5 radio:

    BBC Coventry and Warwickshire 94.8

BBC Derby 104.5, 95.3, (1116 AM with the same radio)

    BBC Leicester 104.9

BBC Lincolnshire 94.9 (1368 AM with the same radio, but weak with interference from Gold on 1359 AM)

    BBC Northampton 103.6, 104.2 (weak on 104.2)

    BBC Nottingham 103.8, 95.5

BBC Sheffield 104.1, 94.7 (94.7 weaker, with interference from BBC C&W on 94.8)

    BBC WM 95.6

I live in East Harling, Norfolk, and I can receive the following on my Triax FM3:

104.6 - BBC Radio Suffolk, Great Barton
95.1 - BBC Radio Norfolk, Stoke Holy Cross
104.4 - BBC Radio Norfolk, Great Massingham
103.9 - BBC Radio Suffolk, Manningtree
96.0 - BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Madingley
95.6 - BBC Radio Norfolk, West Runton
95.7 - BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Peterborough
94.9 - BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Belmont
95.5 - BBC Radio Suffolk, Normanston (Lowestoft)
104.2 - BBC Radio Kent, Swingate
104.2 - BBC Radio Northampton, Northampton
103.7 - BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Lark Stoke
In order of signal strength when pointed at

Some stations are only available when pointed at, e.g. 103.7 MHz, which is BBC C&W when the Triax FM3 is pointed in a westerly direction, is France Inter from Bouvigny-Boyeffles (Béthune) when pointed in a continental direction.
I have yet to try BBC London 94.9 but that would definitely come in if I am able to get LBC, Capital, Absolute, XFM, Smooth etc, some from Croydon and others from Crystal Palace, on a daily basis.
My horizontal Triax FM3 is a very good antenna for pulling in difficult stations. The furthest transmitter is Steinkimmen, NW Germany at 511 km, from which I receive 105.7 Antenne Niedersachsen, 102.3 Radio FFN and 91.1 NDR 1 Niedersachsen.

And no chance of a relay for Rutland, as I seem to remember that being asked on a phone in last year, as the BBC now won't build any new FM relays

Only chance of getting it is when they put the Leicester multiplex on Waltham on DAB but it looks like the signal will be beamed away like every other station!!!! Very annoying

I used to be able to get Radio York MW at my old parents house in Washington Tyne and Wear, as well as BBC Newcastle MW/FM and BBC Tees FM. I don't know about their new house over Durham way but I'm living further north in KIllingworth and can only get BBC Newcastle and BBC Tees, though signal obviously isn't as good for BBC Tees. I'm sure I remember picking up Radio Scotland somewhere at some point.

I've managed to pull in BBC Radio Scotland with RDS in the past, in the car when up on the Pennines in Northumberland / County Durham border area. Think it was roughly between Hexham and Weardale.

Almost 9 years since I was last up in that part of the world, so unfortunately I can't be more specific! :)

Where are you though? If eg you lived in Crewe that wouldn't be particularly note worthy!

10 miles west of Derby I can add Stoke and Shropshire to those. Coventry is on the sensitive car radio too.
