When the pub was on fire she was crying out to 'Let it all burn' so I have never got why she was so annoyed with Philth for selling it, I don't really miss her as a full time character either. Also The Vic's the place where Frank and Pat cheated on her and Archie cheated lied and was then murdered in the Vic so it can't hold that many great memories for her, plus Sharon has just as much right to be territorial about the pub and she doesn't bleat on about it all the time. Mick should tell Peggy where to go

I personally think Peggy is a great character played superbly by Barbara Windsor.

Because Pat was in the show 26 years - she done her time. And all her family have left now anyway!
The entire square was her family - she was a true matriarch who cared about people.
