Both episodes were great. Dark, disturbing and very funny.

Agree. Loved it and watched both episodes too - looking forward to the next installment. :)

I liked it, but it was quite dark and weird in places too. I didn't watch the LOG much.
Where was incest suggested? I liked some of the characters like the clown though.

Ah I see :p The son was the one who became a butler right?
Some of the characters reminded me of Little Britain as well for some reason.

Little Britain, owes alot to the original League of Gentlemen.

Mark Gatiss of the LOG worked on LB as a script editor , and made guest appearances ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Gatiss#Other_television_work :)

It was not as good as the League of Gentlemen it was like Julia Davis shows Human Remains with Man Stroke Woman added.I think it needed more of Mark Gatiss hand on work but the only thing that came close to League Of Gentleman was short lived Splitting Cells on BBC 3.

It definitely had 'Yeuuuuh' moments. And moments that made me laugh out loud, especially in the second episode. I'm just waiting to see how it develops, just as I did with LoG.

Was episode one of League as Gentleman as good as the entire three series proved to be?

But that's my view we can't all say it was great.

I agree , it was missing some of Marks 'special stuff' - imo this was a poor mans LOG .

I really enjoyed it. I was a fan of League of Gentlemen too. The blind guy was exellent, wasn't he 'tealeaf'?

Dwarf porn, on handed clowns, incest, serial killing. I shall be watching the next episode.

No, of course, but I I wasn't saying that. I just wondered if you felt that League of Gentleman was excellent after watching one episode or as a result of watching it regularly.

It was load of rubbish, not even funny in a sick way. Dawn French does tend to put me off stuff though..

    Bloody brilliant

Someone earlier said it best you can't go fair wrong if you include incest, a dwarf doing porn, a baby doll, Dawn French with ginger hair, a main with a cupboard full of teddies and a one handed clown in a programme.

    I miss LOG so much...

Loved the little bit in the end in the credits where the cast names rollwhere it said

Freddie ... (the baby doll) played by ... himself

I normally avoid things with Dawn French, but she was great last night, reminded me of how good she was in Murder Most Horrid. She's definitely at her best playing a psycho rather than the cuddly Vicar of Dibley-type characters she's given most of the time.
