Ben boo'ed at GAY

Ben was at GAY last night. Everything started off ok and he sang the first song. Then the guy that runs it brought out a cake to help Ben celebrate his Xmas No 1. He then caveated this with saying if Ben didn't get to number one then tried to throw/ wipe some cake on Ben. Next thing, Ben gets a bit excited and starts firing cake into the audience who, as you can imagine, don't take to being covered in cake well. Thats when the boo's rattled out - you could see Ben knew straight away that he made a mistake but it was too late - the crowd began to thin a little and there was an over riding sense of disappointment.

I loved Ben on X Factor but after seeing him perform last night I will be surprised if he even gets to one album. It just didn't work.

    Ha!

He just made the wrong choice. Clubbers were on his side then turned on him. Poor guy. He was crestfallen at the boos.

Is the crowd in this concert venue/club (not sure what it is) truly representative of the general public? Would something like that really have any sort of impact on his future?
One public appearance not going well doesn't mean that you are over, does it? Unless this place is truly that influencial...

I think it's all up to the material that he will release (same for Fleur by the way, or any former X Factor act).

The venues are already booked well in advance for the live finalist, and most of them are normaly the same venues each year. I guess it depends on the type of act on how well they go down with the punters.

Ben had a great night last night as did the audience. My mate Gary went and said it was superb. Ben got a large cake shoved in his face by Jeremy Joseph which seems to be a ritual.

Seriously? He was clearly playfully joking with the crowd. Why would they boo him for that?

If Jeremy Joseph shoved a cake in my face I would punch him. But then that's more to do with the fact I hate Jeremy Joseph.

its been a week and you still whinging ...

edit : couple of weeks ago when complaining about people saying negative things about fleur you said you didn't understand why people did that and if you weren't interested in an act you rarely commented on them

isn't it about time you started to practice what you preach ?

Would have thought the Daily Mail would have loved to splash this story - a chance to have a go at the X Factor and rude gay's. :o

Yep. I had a bet with myself whether certain FM's would be one this thread rubbing their hands together with glee - they didn't let me down ;-)

It's a pity all the people constantly having a dig at Fleur on this tin pot forum did'nt do the same. One rule for one, and another for all the rest springs to mind.

I think that you may have mistaken me for quite a few other people on here to be honest.
