Sony PS3 Bluray remote - not fully working with Sony tv...

I have the sony ps3 bluray remote v2 which was bought within the uk via a amazon uk seller -

It operates the ps3 and my Sony KDL-32V4000 TV, however, you can select the 'picture menu' in TV mode, but the 4 point ring on the remote does nothing... So I would need to still use the tv remote (only 1-2 a day - changing it for bright lit room to at night room...not massive issue.
All in all, much improvement over the first remote - not quite sure why Sony still havent released it in UK - one year since release in US? Strange
