I remember ''Whose Line is it anyway'' back in the 90s. Loved it, wish they could have something similar on now.

There was the original British series in the 80's hosted by Clive Anderson and later a US series hosted by Drew Carey. Sometime they're repeated on Freeview.

Last year we had Fast and Loose hosted by Hugh Dennis which was of similar ilk to Whose Line.

Does anyone remember Bread or Blood from 1981.
It starred Malcolm Storry and was in 5 parts set in early 1800's. "Life is hard in the Wiltshire valley of Bishop. Meat is scarce for Ben Jarvis, his sister Mary and the shepherd Isaac Bawcombe. Poaching has its rewards and risks". It was pretty grim but I enjoyed the story about shepherds losing their lands to the aristocracy and riot: if there is no bread, they warn, then there will be blood.

The Squirrels tv sitcom ( 1974 ) - The theme was office politics in the accounts department of a fictitious TV rental company.

I remember that, it was based on the play "Bouncers". That takes me back...

Nobody I know has heard of it! I can't remember if it was any good though, it's all very hazy. I don't even know who was in it. I'd like to see it again, but I'm sure it won't ever be repeated let alone released on dvd.

If you See God Tell Him which starred Richard Briers. It only had about 3 episodes and was very politically incorrect. Very funny though.

"Give Us a Break" starring Robert Lindsay and Paul McGann, from about 1983-4. I still remember all the words of the theme song!

And a Channel 4 sitcom from about the same time called "Dream Stuffing" about two girls who shared a flat.

Anyone remember Artemis '81? One off drama/sci-fi with Hywel Bennett and Sting. I remember critics at the time saying they didn't know what the hell it was all about.

"The Olympian Way" a BBC1 comedy/drama about a fitness centre from 1981, it was on after Summertime Special ISTR. The most memorable thing about it was the theme tune by Lynsey De Paul... & I can't find it anywhere!

There was one episode about a nasty aspiring politician, he was so obviously based on Michael Heseltine - even though he was an alien. :D
