As per title
Does Microsoft have Sky Exclusivity?
Have Sky signed an exclusivity agreement with Microsoft to supply Sky Go/NOW TV?
If Yes, When does this elapse?
If No, Why has Sky Go not come as a new App on SEN
I'm waiting for the day I can view a full Catch up service through my PS3/PS4/PS VITA.
I fear apple will kill off Playstation/XBox if they launch Apple TV and a gaming platform.
Sony are 3rd in pecking order at the moment for catchup via console/mobile device as apple and XBox are ahead and I have always said if SEN was a clone of Apple iTunesit would be the biggest and best but they lag behind and lose money whilst Apple add to their billions.
To prove I'm not anti apple I'm typing this from my iPhone 4S.

As for Sky they are in beta stages of NowTV app for the ps3.
I'm beta testing sky now on ps3 and you will have to wait until later this year, until then please wait or get yourself an ipad or use your iphone
That'll be him told then lol
I mean the PS3 or Wii would have made more sense in terms of the numbers of consumers it would be available to... as then it wouldn't be stuck behind an additional pay wall like Gold.
Still I suppose Microsoft must have gone out of their way to get exclusivity...as it would make no sense for Sky to limit themselves to one console and then to only a limited percentage of that userbase.
Incorrect, PS3 is the biggest platform for Netflix in the world.
@homer2012 Sounds promising.
No.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Nein. non. niet.
NO!
I told you months ago that Sky Now was coming to PS3, now confirmed by someone that's beta testing it. Why keep asking?
Is it honestly that difficult to bring this to another console?
Sorry to ask the same question in a new thread I regularly forget to go back to old threads and bring them back to the top.
Have you tried writing software for a games console? No me neither.
It's like vm customers waiting for the vm player to go onto Android these things take time and testing.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sky Go is money-hatted by MS though.
Beta testing ends on tuesday with a summer launch planned but us beta testers have full access now but i wont be paying for now tv as for me irs pointless.
Javascript was upated recently and everything is running smooth, picture quality is really good with no buffering, very fast scrolling and a small 26mb to use on your ps3's. i wish it was sky go but £15 is abit steep.
You cant record live tv
You can register upto 4 devices for now tv but you can only watch on 2 devices at once
42k sold. Game changer.
Mmmmmmnnn..... Feel the quality.

But yes, Sky are losing a huge market as another poster said PS3 is the most popular streaming device for Netflix in the world.
Incorrect. I'm also beta testing NOW TV and this uses Silverlight.
Sky Go isn't on the PS3 due to an agreement with MS. That's my opinion but it's the only logical reason why not. If you ask on the Sky Forums they always say its not planned and don't give a reason why.
What are your thoughts for now tv, i like it but would prefer sky go
I mean Silverlight doesn't work on BSD/Unix/Linux.
I'm not 100% certain on this but i think there are Silverlight replacements. I'm pretty sure i saw somewhere that some linux users use them to watch lovefilm and skygo on ubuntu.
Hi
Could you tell me how do you apply to become a beta tester for PS3 software.
Regards,
Dale
Isn't NOW TV for non-Sky Subscribers
and Sky Go the complete opposite,
taking your Sky Subscription on the 'Go'
or rather away from the main TV in another location.
I wonder if the PS4 & PS VITA may both get Sky Go at launch.
