Apologies to those who either don't like it or get fed up with hearing it.......but it has to be Slade!

Me too and all the other christmas songs from that era. It must be my age!

The Power of Love - Frankie goes to Hollywood.

Just sounds so epic listening to this on a frosty night around Xmas time.

    Yet another vote for

    Xmas Wrapping - Waitresses

    also love

December will be magic again - Kate Bush ( really under-rated )
    Wonderful Xmastime - Wings
In dulce jubilo / on horseback - Mike Oldfield
Christmas Day - Squeeze ( B-side going crazy is an unknown classic )
Wombling merry Xmas - Wombles ( don't think anyone has mentioned it - incredibly enough )
Driving home for Xmas - Chris Rae
Little donkey - Beverley Sisters ( guilty pleasure )

Another vote for The Waitresses, Greg Lake and Mike Oldfield, and any from the Phil Spector album, and two more lesser known ones:

    Dido - Christmas Day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMFzQhR9dJw

Alan White and Chris Squire - Run with the fox.

It could only ever be 'The Pogues - Fairytale of New York'

The thought of christmas tunes makes me feel warm, i love most of them.

December Will Be Magic Again - Kate Bush
    Last Christmas - Wham
My Only Wish (This Year) - Britney Spears
Wonderful Christmastime - Paul McCartney :o (strange I like this as I'm not a fan of his music really)
Do They Know Its Christmastime - Original Band Aid

Don't mind The Pogues' one but its overrated really. My mum likes it though and has the CD.

My personal favourite Christmas album is a French one I bought in France a few years ago. It's played every Christmas :D

Have to say Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses and Driving Home for Christmas by Chris Rhea, for me I don't think I will ever get sick of these songs.

    Also love:
    Sleigh Ride- Andy Williams
    Winter Wonderland
    Let it snow
Santa Claus got stuck in my chimney-Ella Fitzgerald

I like a lot of Christmas songs but my favourites would have to be:

Jon Bon Jovi - Please Come Home for Christmas (very underrated, the tune reminds me of an American diner despite never going to America)

Chris Rea - Driving Home for Christmas (Brilliant tune)

Saint Etienne - I was born on Christmas Day (underrated, good tune to dance to)

Bo Selecta - Proper Crimbo (Funny tune, the video is funny too)

Geraldine McQueen - Once Upon a Christmas song (fun tune, should have been Christmas number 1 not this X Factor crap)

Ricky Tomlinson - Christmas my Arse (see above)

and loads of the old favourites like Wham, Band Aid, Slade, The Darkness, etc.

    My top 2 favourites are:

The Pogues - Fairytale of NewYork
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

I like most Christmas songs apart from two: 1 by Abba and 1 by Tom Jones, it's cold outside or something. Bliss music channel on Sky keep playing them over and over :(

I quite like the Christmas song in the new Coca Cola Christmas ad Shake Up Christmas - Train

When do the Sky Music channels normally start playing Christmas songs?

Last year, Brian Blessed's Top 100 Xmas songs was shown on a loop from about November 18th

This Saturday on VH1 and MTV Classic. Bliss have been playing the music since the beginning of this month. Don't know when the other channels will follow suit.
