I've never figured that out either. It's a bit strange tbh.

It's usually the DFS one that comes out first with that Mariah Carey All I Want for Christmas is you. That will probably be on at the end of this month. They will probably have that Toys R Us one on that they did last year and the old favourites such as the famous grouse, the hellmans mayonaise and of course the Coca Cola trucks or that scary Santa one that was introduced in 2006.

The one I dislike most of all  I'll be sure to have the mute button ready if I ever see that ad on TV this Christmas.

Tesco have been running a Christmas TV advert for the past week. I had to laugh when the voice over says "we know Christmas isn't for a while yet!" (or words to that effect). Then again, in my local Tesco, their Christmas display is bigger than their Halloween one!

    :D

Maybe there would be more of a backlash against the Tesco adverts if they aired them the very same day the Tesco stores across the country displayed their first their Christmas items. My g/f noticed mince pies (in a Christmassy box) on display at the end of August. It says a lot about such products going on sale early when the expiry date is end of November 2010

Christmas doesn't only come early at Tesco. It's over before it should be!

    :D

I think most people will say the same. A lot of people see the Coca-Cola advert as the start of the Christmas season.
