I don't buy many CDs these days. Last few.........
That Cat Was Clean! The Mod Side of Jazz - 2CD compilation I bought for £3 as an impulse buy, and which turned out to be very enjoyable. Hardly heard any of the tracks before.
The Best of Peters and Lee - I would never have dreamed of buying this when I was younger, but I love this stuff now. So smooth. Love singing along when I'm driving.
Phantasmagoria - The Damned - Used to have this on cassette. CD was cheap, and I'm glad I got it. There's a lot music that I used to enjoy that I don't like so much now, but this is an exception.
Diana Ross and The Supremes - 40 Golden Greats - Another supermarket cheapo double CD. Great stuff.
Queen - Live At The Rainbow. I know its been out for a while, but I only just bought it. And what a purchase., Superb, amazingly good stuff! I'm sure its been over dubbed and cleaned up to a (probably) large degree but they were a shockingly good live band. Pre 'Bo Rap' they were no doubt out to impress and succeed in doing so totally. And some of Freddie's between song banter is priceless...."hello my darlings, are you wearing your black nail varnish?".
Also bought Billy Idol - 'Kings and Queens Of The Underground'. It does have one or two many slow songs on it for my liking but its still very, very good and (for me) easily his best album since 'Rebel Yell'.

I recently bought "Faded Gloryville" by Lindi Ortega. I've been a fan for a while. She deserves to have some success as she's wonderful, in my opinion. She writes great songs and she has a great voice too...I don't understand why it hasn't happened for her.
I bought tickets to see her live when she plays in London next year.
As you can tell, I don't judge albums by their titles
Looking forward to a full album from Maddie & Tae this year.
I've been listening to some of their tracks from their album. I'm impressed. I really didn't like "Girl In A Country Song" at first. I thought it sounded too pop with the odd steel string thrown in so that it could be called country, but I do like some of their tracks.
Was in a Cash Generators yesterday and I bought two old CD singles:
Oops I Did It Again - Britney Spears (as I'm collecting Britney's CD and cassette singles)
A Christmas Kiss - Daniel O'Donnell (as a joke gift for mum for Christmas - I only hope she sees the funny side )
The following are what I have purchased within the last month.
LeAnn Rimes-Today Is Christmas
Billy Joe Royal-The Royal Treatment, Greatest Hits, his 1992 released self named album, Stay Close To Home, and His First Gospel Album which was sadly ended up being his final album.......
I heard a fair deal of Billy Joe when I was a kid, but honestly I didn't officially discover him on my own until after his going forward on October 6th, so sadly Billy Joe isn't the only one who is late and I'll never stop being ashamed of my having such a status where the beautiful precious is concerned, I love him so much!!!
God bless you and his family and LeAnn always!!!
Holly (a day one fan of her)
P.S. I am still waiting on my copies of Billy Joe's albums named Tell It Like It Is and Out Of The Shadows to finally get to me.
