I've also emailed Ben, not only about the Live feed but also about BBBOTS as he asked for my opinion of it, and with help from a few of my friends I gave it to him!
Hopefully hearts and minds can be changed.

MIC was in direct competition and that's the problem.
BB should never have tried being a TOWIE/MIC clone just set in the BB world.
that's the problem when they shape a show around that format.

They really have missed a chance.
Perfect last night they should have put an hour on after the h.l show see how it went.
But be making plans to stick it online just like last year.

Outrated BOTS, This will mean that BOTS should be shorten to half a hour:

    21:00: CSI
    22:00: BB Highlights
    23:00: Big Brother Live
    00:00: BOTS
    00:30: Big Brother Live
    01:00: Supercasino

Things might improve but if they don't and this series bumps along the low 1 + million mark I doubt we will see many more "normal" Big brothers. This is why Endemol should have taken a more proactive role in getting a feed out there.

Endemol also have to make BB look like a show worth buying into for any channel to consider it to be a worthwhile purchase.
I honestly do believe we only got a 24/7 net stream for BB11 because the show was up for sale.

Yes And ties in with the Pej digital spy interview about the Failure of BB10.
It really was madness dropping that what started last year. It wasn't perfect and wasn't enough but it started helping people connect again.

Think you have raised some really valid points . What looks like at the moment Fancy house and some outspoken Housemates was the gamble they took this year. It might work out still but if it doesn't what a gamble

I look on it like this.
When Pej Said clearly with no live feed they couldn't show all events and interactions
that would have made more sense as the series carried on. whats changed?

We have a load of HM's loads of Twists. Ontop of the normal interactions a BB house creates. They are basically asking the impossible for the amount of time allotted to do this series any favours.

The amount of people that I've heard saying they no longer watch because "its changed"
its unreal. they could have set the perfect balance Live feed and this new Towie feel show they think is the right direction. At the moment its coming across BB has completely lost its confidence in the format. Yes bas decisions were done and it did cause some of the public to fall out of love with the show. But what they have done since Joining Channel 5 is push a lot of people away in favour or more younger viewers who clearly don't have the same loyalty as the Original Fanbase did.

Absolutely, they did push away a lot of the original fans of the show when it went over to Channel 5 in an attempt to attract a new younger audience, which we all knew at the time was their plan and that the new youngers viewers would easily get bored once the novelty had worn off they were in no way going to be as loyal as the original fanbase were.

They could have built on what they had already whilst maintaining much of the original fanbase and attracting new viewers but instead they chose to drive away its core fanbase in a desperate attempt to revamp the show for a younger audience, now the cracks are beginning to show with the ratings, Channel 5 have shot themselves in the foot with this and now its beginning to show.

having visited the house and the control room i know how hard it is to provide the live feed.

it did not help that the "cost" was not covered when c5 did show one and the old repeats that used to be shown were far more popular than the costly live feed.

however... the live bit last night after the main show was fantastic tv and there is no reason more of that can not be done other than the 1 day delay in the "highlights" makes it hard to slot in

    sometimes cost is also relative.
we are in a totally different game now. all of them From Ben Frow right through to Samwell-Smith are aware how other BB's not only provide 1 but upto 4 feeds. This cost is covered by Product placement + a sub in some cases. they haven't even tried as he even confirmed "its worth looking into" sorry that should have been top of the list what possible services can we offer and how do we go about it.

that's been the most annoying part of all this. why in the UK is this now a problem yet Albania and Romania are doing a perfectly good job with a sound plan.

Letting a 3rd party have the rights is also another option its totally letting a company that does nothing but stream services take the risks with C5/Endemol just allowing them the rights to the feed.

Yep the now Infamous "we've moved on speech" from Jeff ford basically summed it up. They pushed for a new type of fan and didn't realise they had about a 2 million fanbase already created. The Face book banning alone cost them a few hundred at least. At least Pej would scream and shout back not run off to facebook and get people banned. :D:o

As each day passes it appears to me that various things are being put in our way, call it a smokescreen if you will, It makes me think even stronger that this is a control issue and nothing else.

That gives me some hope with Viacom the filth they allow, makes anything BB has created look like This Morning.

Oathy, I hope you don't mind me asking but where can I find Ben Frow's email address? Can't seem to find it and I've done a few google searches.

I am starting to warm to this particular regular series if I am being honest, but do think this will be the last one as far as the regular series goes once Viacom officially take over from Desmond

The regular series has gone as far as it can as there's no fresh ideas and can't see the people at Viacom giving it a much needed overhaul

I reckon from next year it will be just two celeb series as the celeb series has lots of steam left in it

If the regular series were to come back we have to hope it will be back to normal people off the street going in there instead of these media savvy people who have been on TV or in the papers before, and that is just the beginning....

its definitely more controlled than last year
this year we are getting less tweet, less clips, less pictures to look at and most of all less live feed
but then we must remember that we don't want to watch housemates sleeping all the time do we…….

It's basically a soap opera now. But even the Soap twitter accounts tweet more than C5's Big Brother account does.

    got the DM mate
totally agree by the way Live feed said when we found out the feed wasn't coming back on C5 few years ago it would be "the only way is borehamwood" and he was so right. Floaty name tags dramatic music could have been accepted. But as we saw last night nothing captures the raw emotion of a nearly live Row via the feed. It would be impossible for them to capture that in a h.l show because someone has to determine where it starts and ends.

As we saw in Fight night 2.. Certain people in BB9 were totally Omitted one played a key role in it all kicking off yet didn't even make the h/l show..;-)

Well, that was a lovely 20 odd minutes of Live from the house last night, in fact, the best bit of Big Brother that has been aired this series, you'd have to be pretty bitter and twisted not to see that, hope the powers that be watched and are having a re-think now.
