DS IRC chat?

Maybe we should start a DS IRC chat. I don't know how many of you used to IRC chat, but it would be good if DS had it's channel on IRC. Opinions?

    Many, many years ago I gave IRC a brief try and quit very soon. It soon became apparent that if you weren't an "expert" you would be treated with insults and derision and as something the cat had just dragged in. Yes, the "old timers" really knew how to welcome newcomers! Things may have changed since then but I have no intention of finding out the hard way!
