Just about to get hold of Lee Child's latest Jack Reacher when it appears later this week but after that will have done them all. Also read Roy Grace series from Peter James and some of the 'Private...' ones from James Patterson.
Also pretty sure I've done the Jeff Abbots; Run, Fear, Panic. Also done the 2 from David Wolstencroft - Good News, Bad News and Contact Zero.
Not showing off but I am after a new author similar to these. Anyone come across anyone offering same level of gripping page turning!!??
Greg Bear worth a try? but heard his stuff is heavy on the details and scientific theory.
Thanks folks

After reading the Lee Child books, the series which hit the spot for me was the Bob Lee Swagger books written by Stephen Hunter.
You will know if these are for you well before you get to the end of the first book - Point of Impact - which is terrific.

His espionage/thriller novels featuring secret operative Jonathan Quinn and his small team of 'cleaners' are worth a read.Quinn, Nate & Orlando are a great team.

    The Cleaner

    The Deceived

    The Unwanted

    The Silenced

    The Destroyed

    The Collected

    The Enraged.

There are also a few short stories featuring Quinn available on Kindle.I prefer paperbacks but I downloaded the Kindle app for tablet and bought the novellas.Battles writes really fast and there'll be an 8th Quinn novel next year.

I put together the list below in an email for a friend. You might find some worth reading in there. I hadn't included Stephen Hunter but only because I forgot, he is great as well but not so keen on the more recent novels of his. Other more obvious exclusions are probably because he had already read them.

The first few being the best probably is true for most of the authors below as well.

    Kyle Mills

    Rising Phoenix
    Storming Heaven
    Free Fall
    Burn Factor
    Sphere of Influence
    Smoke Screen
    Fade
    The Second Horseman
    Darkness Falls

    Vince Flynn

    Term Limits
    Transfer of Power
    The Third Option
    Separation of Power
    Executive Power
    Memorial Day
    Consent to Kill
    Act of Treason
    Protect and Defend
    Extreme Measures
    Pursuit of Honor
    American Assassin
    Kill Shot
    The Last Man
    The Survivor (2013)

    Brad Thor

    The Lions of Lucerne
    Path of the Assassin
    State of the Union
    Blowback
    Takedown
    The First Commandment
    The Last Patriot
    The Apostle
    Foreign Influence
    The Athena Project
    Full Black
    Black List
    Hidden Order

    Alex Berenson

Alan McDermott's 'Grey Trilogy' is worth a read.
The lead character is quite similar to Jack Reacher in a lot of ways.

The first, 'Grey Justice' is outstanding. Really worth a read.
The second 'Grey Resurrection' is okay. Bit boring in the middle, but you have to get through it for the third book, 'Grey Redemption' which is almost as good as the first book.

They are not long books though, only about 200 pages each IIRC, but they really are worth a read if you're a fan of Lee Child IMO.

Would agree with Harlen Corben, the Mickey Bolitar series are great.

Another one I would recommend is the Harry Bosch Series by Michael Connelly:

Robert Crais' Elvis Cole (PI) novels are very good. He always seems to get emotionally involved in his cases.

You might not like Greg Bear unless you're into hard Sci Fi.

I have bookmarked this thread because there are a couple of names new to me.
The last 20 books I have read have been a bit Meh and I thought - Oh, It's just Me. - I am slightly off books the moment.
But then I read the new Lee Childs - and was gripped again. So I think we are sometimes "spoilt" by certain writers. I love a whole range of books including Political biographies but I would say that well written Thrillers consumed at bed-time are the books which are most important to my well being, health and sanity.

I am going to give James Patterson a chance next. If I am drawn in there is plenty to go at.

My son has done all the Lee Child books too.

I have got him a couple of books (which claim to be similar to Lee Child) for when he next visits home.

Dead on Arrival by Mike Lawson ("if you like Lee Child you'll love Mike Lawson")
    and
Lock Down by Sean Black ("Sean Black writes with the pace of Lee Child and the heart of Harlan Coben")

Craig Marten-Zerf has written three excellent adventure thrillers and I hear he's writing a fourth at the moment.

His first book, 'The Broken Men', is being given away free on Amazon today and tomorrow. Read the reviews and then down load for free. It really is a great read

Ah that's good to hear. Elvis Cole has a good sense of humour so it makes sense that the author has.
