Why should they after all they are a business and the product they sell is a subscription service and at no time is a customer forced to subscribe.
The problem is people think the box is Sky's its not. From the time its installed it belongs to the customer but is covered under warrenty for 12 months and after that as long as the customer pays their subscription and service call can be booked for £65 per call. Problem is people think because top and dick got a deal for joining Sky then because I've been with Sky for 20 years I should get a discound, freeloaders is a soft word to use to be honest. If you cant afford it then unsubscribe and use freeview, simple. |
