Hope Simona gets her shit together. Regardless of who wins I want a 3rd set!

Gonna take some of that great Halep fight to win this now. Looks like it's slipping away from her but there's a chance that Bouchard will tighten up when closing out.

She's playing like the old Simona.

I actually think Bouchard is playing a little under-par aswell, so it could still swing back to Halep. Both players can play better than this.

What Mac on about? Halep has to hope Bouchard's level drops?! She's hardly been great, just very lucky and Halep's level is the one that's dropped

If Bouchard is in the final, I won't watch it. I couldn't stand another match with this sort of commentary.

    :(

How the hell did he call that out?

Oh my goodness. I haven't seen her play this badly in a looooong time.

Some of the line calls have been beyond belief.

    Halep is out, IMO

    Not like this Simona.

This could've been brilliant if not for that slip.

    She is injured...

This is over I'm afraid, Simona is putting little weight on her ankle, hence why she's getting no spring in her feet on the serve and her movement (which is her strength) is massively hindered.

Bouchard isn't stupid she's just getting the ball in court, and keeping Simona moving.

Unless Simona does a Novotna then it's very unlikely.

GSM there I think. Bouchard seems to be more mentally tough than the usual young player. Sad for Halep and I hope this doesn't damage the wonderful confidence she has built up.

Mac is fanboying to the max.

Simona never recovered from the interruption because of the guy in the stands. It came at a key moment when she was playing well, and it gave Bouchard a chance to get back in a groove.

me too. I've not really watched a Bouchard game before, but this is OTT. She's very average to me, playing an injured player. Any number of players would easily beat her. They're discussing her like she's the new Steffi Graf or something

Pretty cool if Genie made the final without dropping a set. Was hoping this would be a lot tighter though, similar to the last match.

10 years ago Maria announced her arrival to the big stage, if Genie makes the final could be a similar situation.

:( It's all going wrong for Simona.
If Bouchard gets to the final, then I'm supporting Kvitova. In no small part due to the ridiculous Genie-worship from the commentators.

Have to say these semi's haven't been what I was hoping, but with this one, we'll never know if it would have been a good match if all had been well.

Surprised that the BBC haven't endlessly mentioned that the star of Big Bang Theory has been in Bouchard's box throughout the tournament.
