Went straight to the cinema from work and wasn't sure which of the new releases to watch. Unfortunately for me 'The Resident' was just about to start.
All I can say is I wished I had read the DS review beforehand http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/moviereviews/a307383/the-resident.html I couldn't have said it better myself, it really is a dire zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz of a film.

I don't have much hope for Hammer's revival if this is the level of quality we're gonna get .

and Chris Lee is hardly in it

As well as 'Let Me In', 'Wake Wood' (a more traditionally Hammer horror) has been receiving positive reviews. It's opening on 25th March.

I didn't think it was too bad, although it had a straight to DVD feel about it.

Agree with everyone else. A very average movie and definetely had a straight to DVD feel about it. Nothing original or exciting about the story at all and towards the end i did start to get the feeling of get it over and done with, despite the film only being 90mins long! Christopher Lee hardly featured.

On the plus side Hilary Swank (a 2-time Best Actress Oscar winner - continuing the trend of picking awful films to star in! She needs to sack her agent! ) shows a lot of bare flash and if you like that kind of thing you might enjoy it! Great bod! :D
