In other words, name 5 random shows for no apparent reason.

    Yea!

You see this thread is "for no apparent reason" whereas Top 5 WORSTS are for to argue over... shite. What could be more fun? Oooh we should have a thread about that! Imagine. "What is more reasonable naming 5 terrible shows or naming 5 mediocre shows?"

    ITT!

    This!

Holby City, Casualty and Doctors are three of the most generic shows on TV. No characterisation, questionable acting and the same storylines repeated over and over again.

    Very confusing thread title.

    Does this mean:

    1) Consider all the mediocre programmes and pick the five best.
    2) Consider all the mediocre programmes and pick the five worst.

Or is the OP mistaking 'mediocre' for 'bad' and actually means:

    3) Consider all the worst programmes and pick the five best.
    4) Consider all the worst programmes and pick the five worst.

And why would anyone watch mediocre programmes for long enough to be able to grade them, anyway?

    No. No. No.

It is just as the thread title asks: consider all the mediocre programmes and pick the five most mediocre.

Think of all the unremarkable programmes (EVER! btw) and then, if you will kind sirs and siressesez, let us know which ones are your most forgettable.

    Exactly.

You see it's almost as absurd as naming the the "top" 5 WORST of this or that. Oh not so negative and miserable as naming the the "top" 5 WORST of this or that... but maybe, just maybe half as pointless and stupid?
