"I’m sure other equally small minority groups wish they could exert as much influence.”

I think that's my favourite bit, in other words they never checked other minority groups. ;-)

To be honest, I'd like to see more transgendered people on tv. So, if you guy would be happy to trade.

Oh..... And, by 'on tv' I mean not on a freaky tabloid 'fly on the wall' doc.

Not quite sure why what goes on behind closed doors should be relevant to whether they are on tv or not, or whether there are too many of one kind or not enough. They are all just people on tv. Who gives a feck?

The only people that say things like that are the ones who have an issue with it.

I don't really care if they are gay or not, as long as they are good at their job. And don't try to push some gay agenda on the viewers ...

There's nothing new about lots of gay people on TV, (gay men anyway). The only new thing is that now they can just be gay and on TV, without having to play up to some camp stereotype.

And the Carry On Films, Charles Hawtry, Kenneth Williams. The bad old days when they mainly covered up their sexuality. Russel Harty,Julian Clarey, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, Sandi Toksvig, Stephen Fry, Paul O'Grady and many more all been around for decades.
Why should this be an issue?

I always thought that a gay man should present Match Of The Day.

Everyones waiting for a gay footballer to come out, Maybe if somebody like Graham Norton replaced Lineker it might help.

My gran said "Oh, too saucy" when two men made out during an episode of How to Get Away With Murder. Said the same when a heterosexual couple made out in the next episode in the same series. I think it's the way she said 'too saucy' that made it hilarious.

My children weren't impressed, though. Fair enough because who would want to watch something saucy with their parents and great-grandmother in the room? ^_^

I don't mind there being a lot on the tv but it's getting really difficult to dust around them now.

Indeed, imagine how much poorer the entertainment industry would be without people who just happen to be gay.

Or indeed any walk of life.

Or maybe a persons sexuality should be and is completely irrelevant?.

Gay agenda? what is this imaginary gay agenda you speak of? Oh you do you mean actually promoting their relationships equal to heterosexuals is that the agenda.

Gosh I never realised it was an "Agenda" to be equal and love who they love publically.

I`m far more concerned with those pushing an "Homophobic agenda" they are the ones that cause the damage if you ask me with their imaginary accusations of a gay agenda, I think those who hold such views and hatred should be banned from going anywhere near children they are a poison to children`s minds with their hate filled propaganda.

What? and risk all the Match Of The Day fans and young football fans being turned gay or at the very least bi by the gay agenda :o

I can see the complaints flooding into the BBC and Ofcom saying their husbands and boyfriends have been w*nking off to gay porn and demanding their women strap a dildo on ever since that ghastly Graham Norton replaced Gary Lineker ;-)
