Ah right, for what it's worth it's one of the weaker tracks for me. I prefer the second single, Queenie Eye.

The whole albums brill. His best since Tug Of War IMO.

Don't base your entire opinion on the title track, its good but the rest of the album is very eclectic. No obvious cringey tracks either.

Stand-out tracks for me atm include, Queenie Eye, I Can Bet and Alligator.

Only played it once so far, best thing he's done in ages! Getting great reviews, well done Macca. :)

New is among my 10 favourite songs of 2013. I haven't ranked them but it would be at least no 8 and potentially a bit higher.

Considering that the Beatles' I Feel Fine, from 1964, is my no 3 fave song of all-time, this surely makes Sir Paul my favourite long-term musician of my lifetime!

BTW no 2 would be Alan Price with Jarrow Song and no 1 the Beach Boys' Do It Again.

    Multimedia,

New is an excellent song, and actually, the whole New album is tremendous. It's definitely Paul's best group of songs since Flaming Pie. A Paul McCartney Thumbs Up for New! :)

    Happy new year,
    Marshall

Yes happy new year Marshall. I was listening to Lauren Laverne on 6 music this morning, and she closed her show with a Paul McCartney session. As you will imagine, I was glad to have heard it! Admittedly only a minority of the songs were contemporary though.

    Multimedia,

That Maida Vale McCartney session was pretty good!
