Aw shucks. I do try, it's not like I can be cocky about most things given I'm a fan of Cher, always on edge lol. You guys are nice too, a lot of people here are but I guess some are just characters and enjoy being controversial.
Also while I'm here, according to this French Cher Lloyd blog Want U Back has sold 5,000 or so copies as of Sunday (roughly 4,000 last week, and roughly 1,000 the week of the album release where it would've been cherry-picked ). Not sure where they get their info from but they seem pretty reliable.
Yet again Cher isn't getting good radio support, she's ahead of OD in the midweeks and they are play-listed and she's not. People talk about Cher being heavily promoted but she seems to get very little airplay, If it wasn't for Youtube no one would hear her singles. Hopefully Radio 1 will add her next week.
I suspect it's because her release date is further away also is not the single in the charts at the mo the album track not the one due for release with astro I assume this is the one that will be play listed...anyway she is doing well with this track and it helped her album as well:D
Yes, I agree, WUB release is six weeks further away than One Thing.
In addition, 1D have a good track record on radio now, and stations are probably adopting a new song readily, whereas Cher's new single will have to prove itself.
But I think that with Astro featuring in it, the single will benefit from a double push in order to break Astro in the UK and Cher in the US, and considering that it seems well received, it is likely to become Cher's most successful single to date.

Also, the Battle Of The 3rd Single™ is getting interesting now. On iTunes, 1D - One Thing is now at #25 whereas Cher Lloyd - Want U Back has fallen to #31. If it was like that yesterday (I can't remember how it was yesterday ) then maybe 1D will have overtaken Cher in the official chart today. Although that happening would be logical regardless since 1D have climbed much more sharply in the space of a week.
For as long as WUB remains rarely played on radio I won't believe that the song has peaked (at least until the official single version is released) but for now it is descending...

guys, I wouldnt worry about the cher and r1 thing. They hated alexandra and even A playlisted JLS. They seem to be funny with XF acts at times. But they're playing elephant a fair bit now.
