Hello lovely book people
I've been reading my way through Daphne Du Maurier books and have got through the following:
Rebecca
My Cousin Rachel
Flight of the Falcon
The Scapegoat
The House on the Strand
Don't Look Now + Other short stories
I love love love the books I've read before, but I've heard that some of her others (Frenchman's Creek, Jamaica Inn in particular) read like she was having a mid-life crisis and are nothing like the quality of the others.
Has anybody read these, or can recommend another Du Maurier that I can lose myself in for a few days? I'm particularly if you've read both one of the 'rubbish' ones as well as one of my favourites so can compare
I know I should just read them all, but a) I want to save my money, and b) I have a few days for a great reading sesh and would hate to spoil it with a dud.

I also really like The King's General which is set during the Civil War and is well worth a read.
Another one that I really enjoyed, but which is totally different, The Glass Blowers. It's a novel about a family history in France pre-during and post revolution. It's a slow one, based on her family history I think, but I found it absolutely enthralling, really loved it.
I can 100% recommend the ones I've already read if you haven't read them. My Cousin Rachel in particular is so typical of Du Maurier - I could spell out the whole plot and you'd still be none the wiser of the truth. The House on the Strand had me turning the pages as obsessedly as the drug taker getting his fix in the book
