Yes I have thought that myself. She must be mortified.

Nothing....i think they are referring to Rolf Harris.
can't see why kate needs to be ''mortified'' as i guess he wasn't molesting anyone (as per allegation) in her presence.
besides , nothing has yet been proven;)

Ahh damn - missed it by two days! Happy 5th Birthday to the thread and cheers to digit al (hey mate) for starting it off :)

Because I missed the 5 year date (after keeping a look out for it for so long and getting it wrong once before! grrr) I don't think I deserve to post a Kate number, so this is Kimberley Rhodes cover of 'And Dream Of Sheep'

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoNGpa9tJkg

Here's to a lot more Kate over the coming years - clink! :)

Hadn't even realised that Children In Need had been going since the 80s...

It was first broadcast in November 1980... The same year and month that Kate released December will be magic again:)

Nice to see a mention of December Will Be Magic Again. I like the various different versions of it, including the live performance/arrangement on 'Kate', the 1979 Christmas Special, the one where Mike Moran is tinkling the ivories in the background. I guess this was the song at a more embryonic stage but I think it more than holds its own.

December would be even better if not for DS's crappy makeover.

There are a couple of studio versions of DWBMA. I have the original vinyl single, plus a remixed version on the 'Moments Of Pleasure' CD single from 1993. There's also an alternative version (with bongo drums) which I believe is included on some Christmas album, one I can't remember the name of!

FYI - I don't know if any of you read the Homeground forums but there is some excitement buzzing over rumours - that actually appear to be from trustworthy sources for a change - that Kate is working on some sort of visual project for 2014. I really hope this does indeed turn out to be true!

It is nice of Kate to wish everyone who looks at her website a Merry Christmas!

A thread on 1985 music has just been revived. I have listed 20 songs I like that other people have already listed, and Kate uniquely features twice here!

Just a snippet - Ian Rankin, the Scottish crime novelist who writes the'Rebus' books, was featured in the 'Tracks Of My Years' segment on Ken Bruce's show (Radio 2) this morning. He chose 'Cloudbusting' as one of his favourite tracks, praised the "terrific" video, and said he was a "huge" fan of KB.

Yeah I heard that, was great to hear the song on radio at that time of day:)
He also said he was a massive fan of the cello and that it was not used enough in mainstream music, along with the trumpet I must say I agree:D
